SYNTHETIC ICE

Pacific-Ice uses a solid core commercial grade synthetic ice designed specifically for ice hockey. It is an engineered high density polymer ethylene with built-in release lubricant agents. It is the best hockey surface on the market, with the highest percent glide factor and the lowest coefficient of friction, when comparing it to all other synthetic ice surface companies in the world. It is the #1 alternative surface to mimic a refrigerated or frozen ice surface. After a couple of minutes of adjusting to our synthetic ice surface, you will feel like you are skating on refrigerated or frozen ice. You can stop, turn, pivot, push, glide, skate backwards, stick handle, pass or shoot a puck as if you were on a refrigerated or frozen ice surface. Whether you are playing ice hockey, figure skating, or just skating leisurely, when glide enhancer is used, you will achieve over 90% performance in comparison to refrigerated or frozen ice.

1"   thick - $21.99 per square foot

The 3/4" and 1" thicknesses are used for commercial or residential rinks and are manufactured as a solid 4' x 8' ice sheet. Depending on the ice surface size, the number of sheets varies. The synthetic ice sheets are interlocked together to create an ice skating surface for outdoor or indoor use.  It is ideal for backyard rinks, hockey training centers, indoor and outdoor municipality hockey rinks, high schools, parks, malls, figure skating venues, and community centers. Life expectancy is in excess of 10 years. There is a 5 year manufacturer warranty offered with both the 3/4" and the 1" thickness.

5/8" thick - $14.99 per square foot

The 1/2" and 5/8" thicknesses are also manufactured as a solid 4' x 8' ice sheet but are used primarily for residential indoor facilities, basements, or garage sized rinks. You will need a smooth and level sub surface. Life expectancy is 5 to 8 years depending on thickness. There is a 3 year manufacturer warranty offered with both the 1/2" and the 5/8" thickness. Minimum orders required.
