SYNTHETIC ICE

Synthetic ice is an engineered high density polymer ethylene (plastic surface) and is the best alternative to mimic a refrigerated ice surface. There is some friction when you first start skating but after a few minutes you will feel like you are skating on refrigerated ice. You can stop, turn, and glide as you would on refrigerated ice. Whether you are playing hockey, figure skating or just skating leisurely, you can achieve over 90% performance on a solid 3/4’’ thick synthetic ice surface when you add glide enhancer versus refrigerated ice.
